How We Review

Every review on this site follows the same standard. It is written down here so you can hold us to it, and so you can see exactly what our verdicts are and are not based on.

Where the evidence comes from

A review is only worth as much as what sits behind it. Ours are built from four kinds of source, and every claim in an article links back to the one it came from.

The product’s own pages. The sales page, the checkout, the billing terms and the small print — including what the page does not tell you before it asks for your details.
Independent review platforms. Ratings and written reviews from places like Trustpilot, including the platform’s own notices about how representative those reviews are.
Community discussion. What people who actually work in the field say on Reddit and in forums, quoted directly and linked, never paraphrased into something stronger.
Marketplace and vendor data. Where a product is sold through a network, the network’s own figures on how it is performing.

What we will not do

We do not invent experience. If we have not bought and used a product, we say what buyers report instead, and we never claim hands-on experience we do not have.

We do not score what we have not used. A star rating implies hands-on use. Where a review is built on other people’s experiences, you get the split in community sentiment with the sources attached, not a number we made up.

We do not criticise without a source. Every negative point about a real company carries a link to the evidence behind it. If we cannot source it, it does not go in.

We do not repeat income promises as facts. When a sales page claims you will earn a certain amount, we quote it as a claim and say plainly that it is unverified.

Affiliate links and how we make money

Some articles contain affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — the price you pay is identical either way. Every article that contains one says so above the article, before you read the verdict, and each link is tagged so search engines can identify it.

A commission never changes a verdict. We publish warnings about products we are affiliates for, and we tell readers to skip products when that is the honest answer. A review you cannot trust is worth nothing to you, and eventually worth nothing to us.

Keeping articles current

Prices rise, trials change length, products get sold or shut down. Every article carries the date it was last updated, and we re-check the products we cover. When something material changes, we update the article rather than quietly leaving it wrong.

Corrections

If you find something inaccurate or out of date — as a reader, or as the company being written about — message Ben on LinkedIn with the evidence. We will check it and correct the article.

Use of AI

AI assistance is used in researching and drafting articles on this site. It does not replace the sourcing standard above: every fact is checked against a named source, and those sources are listed in each article so you can verify them yourself.
