Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something through one, we may earn a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.

What that means in practice

When an article contains an affiliate link, a notice appears at the top of that article, before you read the verdict — not tucked into the footer where nobody looks. Each affiliate link is also tagged in the page code so search engines can identify it as a paid link.

If you click one and buy, the merchant records that you arrived from here and pays us a share of the sale. Your price does not change. You are not charged extra, and nothing is added to your order.

What it does not mean

It does not buy a good review. We publish warnings about products we are affiliates for. If the honest answer is “skip this”, that is what the article says, commission or not.

It does not decide what we cover. We write about products people are already searching for and confused about. Whether a commission exists is not what puts a product on the list.

It does not change the facts. Prices, billing terms and customer complaints are reported as we find them, with the source linked so you can check for yourself.

Who pays us

Commissions come from affiliate networks and the merchants who sell through them. At the moment that mainly means ClickBank. Individual articles name the product being linked to, so you always know what the commercial relationship is.

No company pays us to write an article, to change a verdict, or to remove criticism. If that ever changes, this page changes with it.
